The MCAI OSCE/SOE examination is held in Perdana University, Malaysia once a year.

To apply to sit for the MCAI – OSCE/SOE the candidate must have a minimum of 12 months’ training in anaesthesia, out of which a minimum of 6 months must be spent in a Regional or Accredited Hospital.
The candidate may apply to sit for the MCAI – OSCE/SOE through the CAI website which will direct all Malaysian candidates to the Malaysian web-page.
Upon passing the MCAI – OSCE/SOE the candidate
must inform MOH.
continues Year 2 and 3 of training in a Regional or Accredited Hospital.
rotates to other Regional or Accredited Hospitals for selected subspecialty anaesthesia experience if necessary.
is required to undergo In-Training Assessments of the Parallel Pathway Training Program through Year 1 to 3.
